Do I Qualify?
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is available for eligible 2-17 year old children. To qualify, the child or child’s family must receive Family Tax Benefit Part A or another relevant government payment.
Parents will receive notice of eligibility from the Department of Human Services, either electronically or by post.
CDBS Coverage
CDBS provides each child with $1000 over a two year period that can be used to pay for common procedures. Treatment covered includes scale & clean, extractions, root canal, fillings, fissure sealants, bite-wing X-rays. Feel free to contract us for more information about the types of treatment covered.
You can check your child’s available balance by phoning the department of human services or by logging into your online account. Alternatively, we can inquire on your behalf, if you provide access to your medicare card details.
Bulk Billing
W Dental Baldivis offers bulk billing for Children with sufficient CDBS funds. We base our fees on the amounts prescribed by the CDBS. This means you pay no out of pocket expenses provided you have sufficient CDBS funds. We claim directly from medicare so it’s all taken care of, on the day and at the practice.
